Grand Priory of Brazil: Grand Prior awarded Prestigious Order of Merit June 2010
In June 2010, The Grand Prior of Brazil of the Order of Saint Lazarus was honoured by the state of Brazil by being awarded the prestigious membership of the National Order of Civic and Cultural Merits.
The Grand Master of the Order, former Brazilian Senator Galdino Cochiaro (seen flanking our Grand Prior) performed this ceremony in the Municipal Chamber of Deputies. The National Order of Civic and Cultural Merit is issued by a decree of the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Culture, under an executive institute called Brazilian Society of Heraldry, Humanity, Culture and Education.
